Spines are bent down to earth by the meaningless labor
Spreading the apathy obscurity will settle down in the hearts
By the shadow of erstwhile majesty
Under the wings of black birds there are blizzards and fury of snowstorms
Snow isn't melting in the hands and no ice can be thawed in the hearts
We will stay here forever to overwinter in this rusty cage of humanity
Belief in humankind seems to be dead evermore

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter.

Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long!

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross!
